Brent Molendy & Mark Klooster, Tech & Digital Team Ministry
“I began volunteering with sound systems and other technical systems when I was in high school. I quickly discovered my passion for it and continued volunteering at various churches my family attended as we moved around the country. When my family started attending ECRC, I got involved by assisting at the sound booth and helping with technical tasks. Soon, I was operating the sound system and assisting with the setup for services. As an electrical engineer, I have a deep understanding of electrical and electronic systems. It’s rewarding to create an atmosphere where attendees can focus on the music and messages without distractions. I always keep in mind that the technical systems should support, not take center stage. During the COVID years, it was challenging to enhance remote worship through technology, but I felt privileged to be part of the team. I look forward to seeing where God leads ECRC in the future, and continuing to support spreading His message.” – Brent Molendyk
"I have been volunteering as a sound technician at my church since my high school years!
I enjoy it and plan to continue volunteering in sound and production as long as I am able. I have discovered, through my involvement, a deep appreciation for collaborating with and supporting creative individuals, particularly when it involves music.
Currently, I manage sound during worship services and livestream, and assist with other technical tasks as needed. I am fortunate to have supportive friends on the production team and regularly experience profound moments of worship. Contributing to God’s work in this way brings me immense satisfaction." – Mark Klooster
