Coffee Break has been part of the DNA of Elmhurst CRC for almost 50 years!
As coffee consumption was rising worldwide and instant coffee was “a thing” in the 1970s, Coffee Break capitalized on these trends by establishing itself as a warm and friendly hub for coffee and weekly Bible Study, both for the church and community.
Coffee Break continues to provide a warm break and a dedicated place for weekly Bible study for our community and congregation.

There is no doubt Rev. Jeff Klein is known for his lightning-fast speed! And, he has infused his own brand of speed to his activities both within the outreach community and our mission partners.
In this light-hearted workout challenge, Pastor Jeff fearlessly puts his speed (and endurance) to the test in the exhilarating Klein’s Speedcourt Challenge held at the Grace & Peace CRC Community Center.
Friends of Klein have generously offered to “speed up” this challenge, by doubling gifts up to $15,000!

“A View from the Inside” Broken Halos Prison Tour
Join us for our special video feature as we take you on a virtual journey through the three correctional institutions in Louisiana and Mississippi that were part of the recent Broken Halos tour.
Immerse yourself in the firsthand experiences and stories shared by Bert DeJong, Angela Buikema, David Hendricks, and Justin Bardolph as they reflect on their personal experiences on the road and inside with the men of Angola, Elayn Hunt Correctional Center (MS), and MS State Penitentiary.
Elmhurst CRC has enjoyed a special relationship with Angola State Prison for many years, and the seeds of prison ministry were sown long ago by dedicated members of our Prison Ministries Fellowship. Through their proactive partnership with the Angola warden and administration, we have been able to make a positive difference inside.
Generous Friends of Prison Ministry will match dollar-for-dollar all afternoon and evening long, for donations up to…$50,000!

Tonight, we’re staying up late with our Knitters for Community, a ministry that often goes unnoticed but makes a significant impact on the lives of others, spreading love and God’s blessings through their gifts of knit.
